How do you know what to include in your About Me content? If every story and piece of wisdom you’ve collected throughout your life were a sheet of paper, you’d have enough to fill a library!

Even when it feels like you have nothing to say.

It can be a significant challenge to know what to weave into your About Me, and what to leave out.

The three tips below will help clarify what content will convert readers into clients.

How to Put the Me in Your About Me Content

Before you sit down to write your About Me Page, write freely about yourself and the value you want to bring your clients for at least 30 minutes.

Start by clearing blocks to talking about yourself.  Journal on any discomfort or fear you feel about expressing your message and your value. Then, write about what it would look and feel like to have and be everything you need to share your gifts with exactly the people they’re meant for.

Envision and then affirm—out loud and in writing—why you and your offerings are uniquely valuable, especially when resistance to writing about you arises.

How to Make Your About Me About Them

Make sure every piece of information you share hits at least one of these points so that you resonate with your ideal clients throughout.

  1. It clearly speaks to a pain point your ideal clients are experiencing.

  2. It shows a solution you can provide your clients that addresses the cause of their pain.

  3. It inspires clients to partner with you so that they can start feeling better about themselves, their lives, or a combination—now.

Before you see how your About Me Content aligns with these three points, write freely about the value you want to bring your clients for at least 30 minutes. Repeat until you’ve generated content that hits each mark.

You want to leave your prospective clients feeling renewed faith in themselves and their possibilities for fulfillment after reading your About Me Page.
